Iyanla Vanzant Drops Wellness Brand to Encourage Manifestations

The inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant released a self-care body line that focuses on holistic bath and body products. The products are designed to relax a person’s mind, pamper their body, and rejuvenate the spirit.
Gemmia’s MasterPeace by Iyanla company started with her late daughter, Gemmia, who passed away from a rare form of colon cancer in 2003. Vanzant called her daughter "my greatest spiritual teacher,” as her daughter inspired the business idea.
“When she was sixteen years old, on her own, she started studying essential oils,” Vanzant said. “She started making homemade soap with my grandmother using lye soap. Then, my grandmother started using herbs in her soaps, and my daughter asked, ‘What's the herb that does this?’ And ‘What's the herb that does that?’.”
When Gemmia turned nineteen, she created products for hair. Vanzant said that her daughter was susceptible to energy, which inspired her to make the line.
“At around the age of 23, Gemmia started the masterpiece line making her own little homegrown hair products,” Vanzant said. “She said hair was like an antenna. She said that the hair picked up energy, and it gave off energy. So she started making a conditioner and a shampoo using essential oils and herbs.”
Now, Vanzant wants to continue her daughter’s legacy.
“My ancestors and daughter guided me to pick the lineup and make it again but focusing really on the energy around the person and the person,” Vanzant said.
She said that people need to understand that their energy attracts all types of power, and it is their responsibility to exude positive energy.
“When you're in a place, and you say something don't feel right here; that’s energy,” Vanzant said. “And when you say that person has negative energy, sometimes it's a function of our emotional being. Sometimes it's a function of where we are and what we're doing. It's a process of teaching people because we haven't been taught that we are beings of energy. We weren’t taught how important energy is and how it impacts us. If you're upset at home, you're going to go to work [and] you’re going to be snapping at people.”
The reality star said she started using African Black Soap in her products. She combined essential herbs and essential oils into her creations. She noted that African Black Soap supports people by clearing and cleaning their energy as they cleanse their bodies with these products.

The collection includes several products that target specific energies. Some of these products include the Luxury Bath Bar. This collection encourages manifestations for customers, including Peace & Calm, Clearing & Releasing, and Sweet Attraction. Vanzant also has the Clearing and Release Blend Collection that includes a body scrub, body butter, and body wash. Finally, the New Beginnings Collection includes a body spray and body wash to help customers to start anew in their lives.
“We all wash our clothes, we care about the detergent. We wash our cars, we care about whether it's brushless or whether they use brushes,” Vanzant said. “We wash everything, but we just go in the shower mindlessly and slam a soap on our body. And what I want to do is let our daily ritual of cleansing and clearing become a tool, one of the many tools that we use to masterpiece to create more peace in our experience in our environment.”
