Apply for a Chance to Win a $700 CNS Emergency Entrepreneurial Grant for Milwaukee Entrepreneurs
Milwaukee (July 31, 2020) – Carvd N Stone (CNS) is back again with a second round of the CNS Emergency Entrepreneurial Grant for Milwaukee entrepreneurs, and this time around, CNS will be awarding a $700 grant. The applications for the grant are now open and will close on August 8, 2020 at 11:59 pm CST.
The grant is open to entrepreneurs in the City of Milwaukee who range from 17-28 years of age. The grant can be used for, but not limited to, living expenses, inventory for business or contract work.
Just a few weeks ago, on July 1, 2020, CNS awarded the first round of their grant to local entrepreneur Ashley Jordan. Jordan received a $1,200 cashier’s check for her business Soulful Juice, where she promotes healthy living through ginger shots and wellness smoothies and drinks. Jordan is a 26-year-old Black business owner who plans on using the grant for ingredients and creating a site for her business.
“I’m so grateful and humbled to receive this grant. It is hard work running a business, but this grant stepped in and right on time,” said Jordan. “I don’t even have words, but I know the many people who have enjoyed Soulful Lemonades and Soulful Juice has been graced with a little something to make them happy.”
Due to the high demand and support from the first round of grants, CNS reached back out to their network and began fundraising for the second round. Depending on donations, CNS may award a third round of grants later in the year
“When I first reached out to people about wanting to giveaway a grant, I had no clue how much support I would receive. My friends and family, and colleagues came together just so I could help someone else. Now, I’m able to do it again,” said Carvd N Stone Founder Nyesha Stone. “This is truly only the beginning for what Carvd N Stone will do for the community.”
