Come Try Convenient Sweets to Satisfy that Sweet Tooth
Jasmine Collins started baking in her teens after spending years watching her grandfather bake cakes. Eventually, Collins’ mother would ask her to bake a cake for different family events. Collins’ cakes soon became a family hit.
It was all for fun until three years ago when Collins’ father taught her how to make caramel cakes. Once Collins learned she then posted a picture of her work on social media and was contacted by two people wanting to buy the cake. That’s when she decided to start selling caramel cakes. The cakes were selling so fast that Collins began to experiment and sale other goods.
But, it wasn’t until last year that Collins made it into a business and got more creative with her flavors.

“I’m just letting God lead because I didn’t have plans to make this a business,” said Collins.
Convenient Sweets offers a variety of goods, but the main two items are cakes and cupcakes. Along with the cakes, small treats can be bought as well: turtle candies, dipped strawberries, Rice Krispies and more.
Everything is made from scratch, unless requested otherwise.
Convenient Sweets is just that: quick and simple goods for when you want them. Collins is so confident in her goods that she likes to offer free samples of her work before any purchase is made.
Collins is always being contacted to make some new treat, which she loves. But, before selling the new items, Collins tries them out at home with her families. According to Collins, she usually gets it right on the first try.
Her favorite part of the business are her customers.

“I like the response after they try it,” she said. “It warms my heart so much.”
“I’ve cried a few times because of people’s reaction,” Collins added.
On average, Collins is baking 50-100 cupcakes within a week and a half. Collins makes sure to stay fully stocked to keep up with the demand. Collins has a pretty fast turnover rate. Customers will receive their order the same day or by the following day.
“The support is crazy…it’s been amazing,” Collins said. “People love to eat.”
Along with providing fast service and fresh goods, Collins makes sure to ask for feedback from her customers to ensure she’s always providing her best.
Some days Collins can spend up to eight hours in the kitchen. This isn’t a hobby for Collins because she no longer wants work a 9-5. Collins isn’t sure if she wants to get a storefront, but she does want to start with a food truck.
“This is a God-given [talent] that I enjoy doing that is income for me,” she said.
