Party Buses in Milwaukee just Became Affordable Thanks to Krystal Griffin
As the maid of honor for her best friend’s wedding, Krystal Griffin wanted to rent a party bus which lead to her contacting a friend. That experience inspired Griffin to buy her own party bus so she could provide the city with fun for affordable prices. She said it shouldn’t cost someone $1,000 a night to rent a party bus.
Instead of charging someone to rent the bus, plus gratuity and other services, she charges per person. For example, a 20-person group going to Fright Fest could cost $40 per person making the total cost $800, which includes the ride there and back, along with some special perks.
After Griffin breaks even from the purchase of the bus and renovations, she said the possibilities are endless.

The party bus comfortably sits 20 people and includes a dancing pole, seating, sound, lights, among other amenities. Griffin paid for all the renovations herself, such as the tinting of the windows and the updated seating to make them more comfortable. The party bus is under Griffin’s business K Jack Services, which offers home cleaning, small home improvements and private bartending.
“I want to be of service to anyone I can,” said Griffin. “I’m not just about talk. I will be of service.”
Griffin has her PDC (Painting, Drywall and Carpentry) Certification and has recently quit her job with DPI (Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction). It’s not about the money but about providing alternatives for the people in Milwaukee.
Eventually, Griffin will host bunch on the bus and riding and reading for the youth. When students have off days for holidays and other reasons, Griffin want parents to have the option to bring their kids to the bus where they can read and receive tutoring.
She said too many people are focused on the violence and not providing or speaking on alternatives to counter the violence.
“It’s a lack of hands on,” Griffin said.

Yesterday, Oct. 4, 2019, Griffin turned her bus into a free clothes donation for children. She drove to the Northside YMCA, parked the bus and opened the doors to the community. Griffin said it warmed her heart to be a resource to the community. She said she no longer has time to focus on negative energy and on herself because her focus is on being a service to the city.
“The end goal is to really be there for each other,“ she said. “People have been so good to me, I want to be good to them.”
“Being good should last forever,” she added.
Milwaukee has taught Griffin so much that she feels she has to give back. During summer 2016, Milwaukee had riots in response to yet another police killing of a Black man. And it was then Griffin knew she had to do something for her community. Griffin remembers driving by the gas station that was set ablaze and thinking, “I have to reach more people than I know.”
“I have to help somebody at some point,” she said. “It made me want to stay here.” Griffin wanted to move out of the city at a certain point, like many residents. But now, Milwaukee is music to her ears. “It’s a good tune to me,” Griffin said about Milwaukee.
“I’m here,” she said. “I’m not going nowhere [and] I don’t want to go nowhere else.”
