$2,000 Carvd N Stone Scholarships Now Available through Sept. 30

Positive media company Carvd N Stone (CNS) has opened the applications to the CNS 2021 Scholarship Fund. CNS is awarding three $2,000 scholarships to Wisconsin creatives and students. Applications are open until September 30, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. CST.

This year’s fund is presented by American Family Insurance with supporting sponsorship from Milwaukee Bucks, Chloe Mayer, Sugar Maple, Kai Monet Consulting, HU$TLE/R and BKlear. Applicants will be notified in October and invited to a private in-person ceremony to be held in November.

The scholarship money can be used for, but not limited to, higher education, buying supplies for business, food, rent, etc.

The Creative Scholarship will be awarded to two Wisconsin creatives. The creatives must reside in Wisconsin; be between the ages of 17-28 years old; submit at least three samples of work; provide a reason for applying; and a budget of what the scholarship money will be used for. At least one of the creative scholarships will be awarded to a Milwaukee creative.

The Student Scholarship will be awarded to one Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) graduating high school senior that plans on heading to college. The student must attend a MPS High School; reside in Milwaukee; submit two letters of recommendation; must have been involved in at least one extracurricular throughout their high school career­ for at least one semester; be planning to attend college; and submit a one-page essay about who they are as a person and what they plan on using the scholarship money for.

This is the third annual year of the CNS Scholarship Fund. Since 2019, CNS has awarded $7,500 in scholarships, with 83% of the funds awarded to Black applicants and 50% to women.
