Carvd N Stone’s CNS Scholarship Fund is in its fourth annual year and has awarded nine scholarships to Wisconsin creatives and students totaling $13,500. For 2022, CNS is looking to award $14,000 in total with the help of sponsors. American Family Insurance (AmFam) and the Milwaukee Bucks have committed to being sponsors once again.

AmFam will be the presenting sponsor for a consecutive year in a row.

“American Family Insurance is committed to helping close racial equity gaps and making critical investments in our community,” said Maritza Contreras, AmFam community and social impact advisor. “We’re proud to support the Carvd N Stone Scholarship Fund because we know that financial access to a higher education can empower students and creatives to dream fearlessly as they nurture their gifts and talents.”

In 2021, CNS awarded three $2,000 scholarships, along with merchandise, goodies and an invite to a private ceremony at The Mecca Sports Bar & Grill in the Deer District. For the CNS 2022 Scholarship Fund, CNS will award four $3,500 scholarships that can be used for rent, business equipment or tuition. The money is not limited to these items; it can be spent on whatever the recipient chooses. Recipients will also win additional prizes along with an invite to a private ceremony at No Studios in November 2022.

Applications open September 1, 2022 at 9 am CST. The scholarship fund will be open to Wisconsin creatives 17-28 years old and Wisconsin high school seniors heading to college.

Past sponsors include AmFam, the Bucks, MKE Black, Alverno College, and Funky Fresh Spring Rolls.
