The Murder, Mystery & Makeup Monday YouTube star Baily Sarian partnered with Etah Love, a handcrafted sterling silver jewelry company. Together, they created a jewelry collection incorporating bees called, “The Honey Trap Collection”. The collection includes the Sweet Like Honey x Bailey Sarian: a silver ring with a bee etched in the center with a honeycomb-like design, and BuzzKill x Bailey Sarian, which includes a pair of matching dangling bee earrings.
Sarian decided to collaborate with Etah Love because of their history of different, unique jewelry pieces.
The murder mystery host shared her love of bees with her 4.86 million subscribers, saying that the appreciation of honeybees came from the infestation of them in her new home with her fiancé, Fernando Valdez
“When we first moved into the house a year ago, there was stuff flowing in the front of the house,” she said. “We noticed that there were swarms of bees everywhere, and they started coming through the vent in the kitchen. We called a bee specialist who found 15 pounds of honey in our roof with hundreds of bees living up there. At first, we wanted them to be exterminated. The specialist, however, educated us on the positive effect bees have in our ecosystem. And I’ve been a bee lover ever since.”

Sarian took her love of bees a step further by giving back and donating 10% of each purchase from the Bee Collection to The Bee Conservancy. The Bee Conservancy is a nonprofit organization that protects bees, safeguards the environment and secures food justice through education, research, habitat creation and advocacy. The organization consists of social and environmental entrepreneurs that use honey produced by bees to empower underserved communities to create healthy food and build green spaces.
The non-profit does this through their Sponsor-a-Hive program, where they place native bee homes and honeybee hives in community gardens, schools and other community groups. The Bee Conservancy has gifted more than 500 bee homes in the United States and plans to expand into Canada later this year.
The Bee Conservancy also educates the public about bees using Bee Sanctuaries, where they allow people to observe bees in their natural habitat and conduct educational talks, classes, wildlife walks and more to show the importance of bees. The Bee Sanctuaries are located throughout New York boroughs and on Staten Island.
Sarian hopes that through her collaboration, she educates her followers on how to help prevent the extinction of honeybees.
“They pollute one in three bites of food we eat and are essential to the health and prosperity of countless ecosystems,” Sarian said. “They are a part of humans’ survival.”
