A celebrity hair and makeup artist is using her experience to create a beauty empire.
Tarryn Feldman has created iconic looks for artists Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jana Kramer. She’s also produced content with the beauty products she used on her celebrity clients.
After working with multiple brands for over 15 years, Feldman decided to create a space for small businesses with a positive focus on beauty and wellness. Her creative approach to content and knowledge of increasing engagement through her social media channels brought about creating Powder Social Room (PRS).
The concept of the powder social room came from the existence of a powder room from the 18th century. It was an exclusive place for women to fix their appearance so they can ‘be seen’ in society. Feldman brought that same concept into her business and made women's concepts and ideas the main focus in her business plan.
"Powder Room Social stands out because of its background," Feldman said. "I love the beauty industry, especially the business side of it. We care about our clients, their businesses, and their brands."
PRS brings an expert perspective and strategic methods to make sure people are aware of certain brands. It also provides social media management, content creation and public relations. Feldman wanted to help other entrepreneurs create an online presence that will draw audiences everywhere toward their content.

"My previous experience in the beauty industry has formed the idea behind Powder Room Social," Feldman said. "It can be very tricky juggling a business as well as keeping your social media looking fly online."
The beauty guru knows what it takes to run a business. Since launching the wellness brand, Feldman faced a lot of challenges and setbacks.
"Owning a business is very difficult in and out of itself," she said. "Especially while I'm juggling a full-time career as well. However, my job and my company go hand-in-hand, so now is a perfect time to launch it."
The entrepreneur knows that no company can stand alone. She credits her success to the people who work behind the scenes. Feldman encourages her clients to add an excellent team to their businesses.
"I think the biggest thing to take into consideration is your team," Feldman said. "Good ideas will always be good ideas, but if you don't have a team behind you to go into battle, the idea might not live up to its full potential."
PRS has just launched and the company is preparing a party to welcome the brand into the beauty industry.
