Many books have been written about the champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. but he has yet to write his own until now. Mayweather has partnered with Milwaukee native and serial entrepreneur QuHarrison Terry to co-wrote his first book.

According to a press release, the book will share Mayweather’s philosophy of the champion’s mindset that’s helped him achieve greatness. The untitled book will be a blueprint for readers to develop the self-discipline that will help them become successful in their careers and life.

For those who don’t know, Mayweather competed as a professional boxer from 1996 to 2017, retiring with an undefeated 50-0 record. In 2016, ESPN ranked Mayweather as the greatest boxer, pound for pound, of the last 25 years. He is also the highest-paid professional athlete in history.

Even though many people have pitched book ideas to Mayweather, 27-year-old Terry actually made it happen. Terry didn’t care to write a memoir instead he wanted to capture Mayweather’s knowledge and make it simplified and digestible for readers.

The book answers the question, “to be undefeated what does it take?”.

“Floyd lives a rapper lifestyle but performs as a G.O.A.T.,” said Terry.

One may wonder how Terry was able to even get the opportunity to pitch to Mayweather and his team, but Terry is a behind-the-scenes guy who does a lot of work.

Terry is the bestselling author of “The NFT Handbook” and “The Metaverse Handbook”. He’s a four-time recipient of LinkedIn’s Top Voices in Technology award, an entrepreneur, and a growth marketer who advises Mark Cuban’s portfolio of 200+ venture companies.

“Never stop working. I’ve always been creating,” said Terry. “It’s not about who you know but what you can communicate.”

Terry has always been into communication and connecting people. Terry spent his time DJing while in high school and into his sophomore year of college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Eventually, he stopped cold turkey because he felt he did everything he could with DJing at the time. Since then, he’s taken those same skills of communicating and connecting and has built a successful career for himself.

“Learn how to communicate your value and how to position yourself properly,” said Terry.

Mayweather’s book is expected to release in Spring of 2023.
