If you’re from Milwaukee, you’ve probably seen a Hupy and Abraham commercial for injury compensation. The law firm has been around since 1969 and according to its site, has recovered over $1 billion for over 70,000 clients. Along with helping people with their legal issues, Hupy and Abraham continue to give back to the Milwaukee community and surrounding areas.

The law firm has donated over $1 million to multiple organizations, including the Wisconsin Humane Society, Make–A–Wish, Camp Hometown Heroes, Habitat for Humanity, Feeding America, YMCA, and veterans affairs.

Founder and Attorney Michael Hupy said it makes him feel good that he can financially afford to give back. According to Hupy, he sponsored three children last year to attend summer camp with the COA.

“Be good and give back to the community,” Hupy said.

Hupy has been a longtime community activist and was voted Top Local Activist by the Milwaukee public and was recently recognized for his support at an appreciation luncheon for top donors to the Milwaukee Justice Center.

Hupy had donated over $150,000 to the center.

“They help people who can’t afford lawyers,” said Hupy about supporting the center. “There’s a great need for help with legal problems.”

The firm started in Downtown Milwaukee and has since then grown to have 11 offices throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. According to the site, Hupy and Abraham are currently the Midwest’s largest personal injury law firm.

Even with all the successes, Hupy says it’s all about being there for the community.
