Watch Party for Browns Crew Music Video "100 Mexicanos" is Today, June 9 in Milwaukee

Browns Crew, a Milwaukee music duo comprised of El Sebas and Cristo Paz, is hosting a community watch party for their latest single, “100 Mexicanos” today, June 9, 2022 at 7 p.m. CST at Walkers Lounge in Milwaukee.
They have also partnered with Paleteria Yayo to give free paletas to the guest.
The two hope the project gives the community a sense of pride in seeing themselves and their culture represented in the video. The video has at least 100 Mexicans in it to show the different aspects of Mexican culture.
“We’re not a monolith. There’s a wide range of what it is to be a Mexican,” said Sebas. “But, we’re one people.”
The video was filmed at the 2021 Mexican Fiesta in Milwaukee, which is a celebration of Mexican culture. 100 Mexicanos is a representation of Mexican culture and how they hustle. According to the duo, they were surrounded by family and friends who were constantly selling to provide because vending is a big part of the culture. Since the two had multiple performances at the festival and they already had the idea to highlight Mexican vendors, it only made sense to shoot the video at the event.
“There’s always people selling stuff in my family,” said Paz.

Browns Crew decided to hold the music video until the beginning of summer 2022.
Sebas and Paz have been friends since middle school and started rapping together when they reached high school.
Browns Crew is is a Latin Hip Hop group, whose music is influenced by their culture and experiences as Mexican Americans. The two are known for infusing Caribbean sounds into their live performances.
“We’re Mexican artist that use a Black art form,” said Paz and he said they’re very conscious of that.
In 2019, Browns Crew performed all over the state and were named a winner at Summerfest’s 2019 Emerging Artist Series. They were also awarded Radio Milwaukee 88Nine’s 2019 Song of the Year for their single release, “Mil Aires”.
