(Video) Danielle Mullen wants to Help Other Black Women Open Up Bookstores in Chicago
Earlier this year, Danielle Mullen became the only Black-owned woman bookstore in the City of Chicago when she opened up Semicolon Bookstore & Gallery. We traveled to Chicago to talk with Mullen about her first few months being a bookstore owner and what she wants to do next. Mullen wants other Black women to know that they can do anything and that she’s willing to help other Black women open up bookstores. Mullen sat down with our President Nyesha Stone to also discuss her depression, being a Black lesbian and Black street artists.
